Small Towns With Paranormal Problems is a collection of random tables to quickly generate a setting for horror adventures or spooky stories set in the modern era, such as would be found in an episode of X-Files or other stories about paranormal investigators going to a rural or suburban locale.

All tables use only a d6, a d20, or both and the results are unrelated to any statistics or gameplay mechanics so they should work with any game systems.

Tables include inspirations for:

• The name and features of the small town (including street names)
• The kind of cryptid or legendary creature the town is known for
• A description of a ghost and why they  linger in this world
• The name of a secret occult order that is active in town
• The name of a strange festival the townspeople hold
• A description of a corpse of someone who encountered something otherworldly and paid the ultimate price
